I went to Chichen Itza on a day trip. I’d initially booked an early access tour, but due to COVID, they weren’t running it and so I got a free upgrade to the tour which included the main site, as well as a stop at the colonial city Valladolid and a swim in a cenote - a sinkhole filled naturally with water.

We also learnt about an ancient Mayan sport, where the winner… dies?!
