Hobbit-Treehouse-South-Dakota-Door

According to the famous writer JRR Tolkien – a Hobbit is a member of an imaginary race similar to humans, who are small in stature and have hairy feet. Tolkien has depicted in his novel that Hobbits live simple lives enjoying tasks such as farming, socialising and eating-breads, cake, potatoes, meat and tea. They also enjoy singing, playing music instruments including pipes and flutes, trumpets, and horns.

The writer also depicted Hobbits' claim to have invented the art of smoking pipe weed. Hobbits prefer to live in the underground holes or houses which are situated on the sides of the hills. These houses have round doors and windows.

Tourists who are visiting the USA should not miss the experience of staying at a unique crafted Hobbit-inspired tree-house situated deep in the Black Hills a few miles down to Boulder Canyon from historic Deadwood, standing around 17 feet above the forest floor. This glorious tree-house includes a circular front door with wooden windows and the bookshelves which are full of the Hobbits book series.

Owners Gordon and Audrey Mack have built this beautiful Hobbit house along with their holiday rental property, Chateau de Soleil, a luxurious country home that accommodated up to 16 guests. This property has been featured in Condé Nast Traveller and the Daily Mail, as well as Fox News. To book the treehouse head to the website of Cedar Wood Inn, operated by the Mack family for more than 60 years, and by Audrey and Gordon since 1996.
